Early on, the blue tarp starts flying loose, necessitating a stop at Home Depot in Vacaville to aquire numerous orange bungee cords.
By sunset, Mighty Truck stops for gas for the umpteenth time already, this time in eastern Nevada.

Passing through Salt Lake City under cover of darkness, Mighty Truck can only seem to find Choir after Mormon Tabernacle Choir on the radio.
Once into Wyoming, the human stops at a Motel 6 in Rock Springs.
"Sleep? Mighty Truck no need sleep! Sleep is for wimps and Yugos!" - Mighty Truck's proclamations fall on deaf ears.
The next day brings miles and miles of miles and miles. The stark, desolate landscape of Nevada has given way to the stark, desolate landscape of Wyoming. |

Wyoming gives way to Nebraska.
Nebraska is very long.
Nebraska will break a cross-country traveler's spirit.
Nebraska gives way to Iowa, and in Des Moines, the human parks it for the night at another Motel 6.
Heading northeast, as the Mississippi approaches, the terrain suddenly perks up with gently rolling hills of green and pretty trees. Upon crossing high over the majestic Mississippi, Wisconsin is upon us, and the end of the journey is nigh. |
